The third edition of Bodies of Water Shows’ underground DIY music fest, HOMEGROWN III rises again this weekend, with three full days of music from bands with roots firmly in Boston’s rocky soil (as well as a few from NY, Cali, and greater New England). Artists participating in this year’s Kickstarter-funded event include YOUNG ADULTS, MAJOR STARS, SKIMASK, BIG DIGITS, HUNNIE BUNNIES, and QUILT, among the 40 plus acts at the Villa Victoria and Tuft’s Crane Room.

Beginning Friday October, 7, the Capiz Lounge at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel will host a free weekly concert series every Friday night from 9:00-11:00 p.m. Featured musical artists will include: Silhouette Rising, Ben Kilcollins, Max Sullivan, Liz Lohnes and Bad Rabbit.
Many of Edgar Allan Poe's stories feature people who return from the dead. Perhaps it is appropriate, then, that the author himself is coming to life this October to give a reading tour at historic cemeteries and burial grounds throughout the northeast.
