paradeoflightsSail Boston Inc. invites you to the 2nd annual Boston Parade of Lights to enjoy this magical sight on Boston Harbor at night. This event will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 8:30 PM in Boston Harbor.

The boats will set sail from Anchorage One at Logan Airport, traveling along the harbor to Charlestown before heading back down to South Boston's Castle Island. For spectators, the Parade is entirely free. Public viewing will be available along the Seaport District's waterfront, with Liberty Wharf and Fan Pier as the best viewing areas.

Spectators Free. To be a part of the parade, you must register your boat for a fee. Proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

#415 Boston Harbor Hotel Movie Night

lauraThe Intrigue Cafe in the Boston Harbor Hotel hosts a summer movie series called Movies By Moonlight. An outdoor screen is set up on the side of the large gazebo. Cafe patrons and pedestrians can watch a movie and absorb the ambience of the waterfront.

June 17, The classic film "Laura", a 1944 American film noir directed by Otto Preminger. It stars Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews and Clifton Webb will be screening.

Bring friends and enjoy an early summer night outside in Boston.

Somewhere along the way this week, one of our events disappeared. So in reality we are on #414.

With that said, and you find yourself without tickets to today's Clambake. There is a block party downtown today as well. A good reason to celebrate the Bruins awesome win last night!

The Downtown Boston BID is proud to present, in conjunction with the Boston Phoenix/WFNX, Boston's biggest patio party, with DJs and live music, prizes, beer and wine, and food from local restaurants. Must be at least 21 years of age to attend. All Thursday Block Parties take place on Summer Street, outside Macy's.

speeddogsUgh. I hate Monday's...but I LOVE me a good hot dog. If you don't really know what you're doing for lunch today, or perhaps you need a little pick me up snack...I suggest going to Speed's Hot Dogs. AMAZING! If you don't believe me, read their reviews on Yelp.

"Seriously amazing 8oz hot dogs in a massive roll, with all the custom fixin's. The BBQ sauce, chilli, and relish are all custom made in-house. Well, in-truck perhaps is more correct."
