The Boston Public Library is featuring a great exhibit on the Civil War.

The 29th annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® presented by FedEx will be held June 7 – 9 at Boston City Hall Plaza.
The event will serve up ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet from nine of the nation's leading ice cream companies from noon to 8 p.m. each day.
Since its inception in 1983 the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl has raised more than $2.9 million for cancer research and care.

The 23rd annual Boston Festival of Bands will be held from 11am to 6pm Saturday, June 4 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, 1 Faneuil Hall Square.
The Metropolitan Wind Symphony will host the festival that will include several of New England's finest wind ensambles, including the American Band, Casco Bay Concert Band, Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Windham Concert Band, Sharon Concert Band, Concord Band and Rhode Island Wind Ensamble. The Flash Forward Festival Boston will be held from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday June 5, at the Fairmount Battery Wharf, 2 Battery Wharf. The magenta Foundation will host this free satellite festival of works by emerging photographers from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The festival will include lectures about self publishing, branding, marketing and other topics related to photography, panel discussions, exhibitions and receptions. Go to the Flash Fowward site for more information and images.
