Valentine's Day is coming up and there are a ton of great holiday events to celebrate with loved ones in the Boston area. 

One of the events at the MFA is 'Arts + Hearts'. The event will take place on Friday, February 13th at 6:00pm near Fenway/Kenmore Square. 

"On Friday, February 13, turn your love luck around. Spend an elegant evening at the museum and meet Boston.com's Love Letters advice columnist, Meredith Goldstein."

The event encourages guests to "stroll the galleries looking for works of art—for true love and broken hearts. And enjoy specialty cocktails and light bites at Taste Café and Wine Bar."

Many of us have walked through South Station but have you ever wondered about the building itself? There is a ton of history behind the walls at this busy hub in the city. 

The tour will feature "free behind-the-scenes guided tours highlighting the architecture and history of Boston’s busiest station."

The tour is scheduled to start at 1:00pm on February 7th at South Staion near South Boston.

"The station opened for service on New Year’s Day 1899. The first train, filled with 12 tons of Boston-based newspapers, headed out to Newport, Rhode Island at 4:38 a.m.

By the time the inaugural day of service had ended, 62 trains had departed the new station. In its first week of operations, the station welcomed 250 daily trains and by the fall of 1899, South Station was handling almost 740 trains each day."

The New England Patriots Superbowl Parade has been rescheduled to Wednesday.

'“Due to today’s bad weather and the worsening forecast for tonight, the New England Patriots and the City of Boston have made the mutual decision to postpone the victory parade,” Walsh said in a statement. “We thank everyone for their flexibility and patience during the planning of this parade and we look forward to celebrating with Patriots fans during better weather on Wednesday.”'

The parade route will begin at the Prudential Center, travel along Boylston & Tremont and end at City Hall Plaza.

The festivities are scheduled to start around 11 a.m. in Back Bay.

The city has been working diligently to clear the roads and sidewalks for all visitors. Guests should dress appropriately and allocate additional travel time on roads and public transportation.

The nonprofit World Music/CRASHart organization's mission is "to present the finest traditional and contemporary performing arts from around the world to the broadest possible audience, and to engage individuals in their community and civic life through related artist based educational programs."

The organization has scheduled musical performances at various locations in the Boston area, including the Brighton Music Hall in Brighton, Symphony Hall in Boston and the Somerville Theatre in Somerville.

Want to do something fun and a little different? Barbara Lynch and her team created 'Stir', which offers a variety of cooking classes for all skill levels. 

"Stir is our commitment to providing a resource for both food and wine enthusiasts and novices, as well as our colleagues. Each week, cooking demonstrations and classes on wine and spirits offer an opportunity to learn and taste in a convivial environment. Instructors and the curriculum draw from the talents and passions of Chef Barbara Lynch, Wine Director Cat Silirie, and their teams."

Boston isn't the most pet friendly city but if you are lucky enough to have a dog, finding some space for your pet to run around is important. Here is a list of a few dog parks in the area thanks to the Metro. 

Peters Park, South End
Possibly the most popular dog park in the city, Peters Park has two sections, divided for large and smaller pets. Dogs can leap up on climbing structures in a safe, double-gated environment, and tackle each other ‘til the cows come home. Plus, there’s even a water fountain for your pup, as well as another to wash your hands. Best of all, there’s plenty of benches for owners to take a load off.

South Boston Bark Park, South Boston
Located near Castle Island, the Bark Park is a gravel-based spot complete with tunnels and rocks for your dog to play on. Maintained by a local neighborhood organization, the Bark Park is so popular that regulars host a Halloween party, complete with pups dressed as lobsters and Batman.

 This culinary competition brings together some of Boston’s best chefs to determine whose burrito creation reigns supreme.

 In honor of the following day’s Super Bowl XLIX, each chef will create a signature burrito reflecting the city of their favorite NFL team. Each burrito creation will be served up “bowl-style” and rated by attendees as well as special guest “referees” including Zagat Boston Editor Scott Kearnan and @BostonTweet social media personality Tom O’Keefe."

January 26 marks the date the first Prohibition law went on the books in Tennessee. During this time, an establishment could get in trouble for selling "spirituous liquors." Many years later, the 21st Ammendment was passed - repealing all Prohibition laws.

One of the most celebrated college hockey events in New England is almost here. The 2015 Beanpot Championship will display the rivalry and competitive nature between four of Boston's top colleges.

"It has become Boston's 'social event of winter season.' The first two Monday nights of February in Boston are reserved for the Beanpot, an annual hockey tournament that features Boston College, Boston University, Harvard and Northeastern.

It all started on Dec. 26, 1952 at the old Boston Arena. The next year the Beanpot moved to the Garden, where it has been played ever since and become the official battle for Boston's hockey bragging rights."
