The Boston Jewish Film Festival is going on now til November 17th!

"The Boston Jewish Film Festival celebrates the richness of the Jewish experience through film and media.  Throughout the year, the Festival engages and inspires the community to explore the full spectrum of Jewish life, values and culture."

The films are held at the Arlington Capitol Theatre, Coolidge Corner Theatre, Somerville Theatre and West Newton Cinema. Featured films include 'Run Boy Run', 'Above and Beyond' and 'Magic Men'.

Veteran's Day is a time to show appreciation for those who have served and Boston will celebrate with two Veteran's Day parades in Downton Boston. 

There will be a Veteran's Day Parade followed up by the Veterans for Peace Parade. 

The Veteran's Day parade will be held on Tuesday, November 11th near Boylston and Tremont Street. 

"Boston's first Veteran's Day Parade kicks off at 1pm on at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Streets.  The second Veterans Day Parade, known as the Veterans for Peace Parade, follows right behind it to honor and celebrate the original intention for Armistice Day - a Day of Peace. 

Both parades march around Boston Common along Boylston and Tremont Streets, and on to City Hall Plaza and the front of Faneuil Hall next to the statue of American Revolution patriot Samuel Adams, where you can hear a variety of speeches, anti-war poetry readings, and music."

"It’s Turkey Trot time again! Ray Ciccolo’s Boston Volvo Village of Brighton is sponsoring their Annual Boston Volvo 5k Road Race to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter."

The Thanksgiving Day 5K race will begin at Boston Volvo Village in Brighton at 9:00am. 

"The Thanksgiving Day 5k has become a tradition for more than 1,000 runners each year. The Race begins at Boston Volvo Village at 9:00am, winds through the streets of Brighton and ends where it began back at the dealership."

Support The Quincy Animal Shelter during the Fall Festival Craft Fair! 

The Fall Festival Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 15th from 10:00am-3:00pm. The event will be held at the Kennedy Center near Marina Bay in Quincy. 

"Join the Quincy Animal Shelter for a day of shopping food and fun with loads of vendors, crafters and quilters.  

Many items available including Jewelry, Hand crafted furniture and a bake sale.There will also be some great prizes raffled off."

Did you love R.L. Stein's 'Goosebumps' growing up? Then you should check out The Riot Theater's 'Goosebumps: Choose Your Scare' ! 

The event will be held every Friday at 10pm during the Month of November at the Riot Theater in Jamaica Plain.

"Inspired by the children's horror novels of the same name. This show takes you on an adventure of the most horrifying (and hilarious) kind. Each week the audience will create a title for a never written Goosebumps book and see it improvised before their very eyes. Throughout, the show is peppered with choices the audience gets to vote for, concerning what horrible thing will happen next. Not to be missed"

Underground music is taking over Somerville this weekend! On Friday, November 7th & Saturday, November 8th, the BRAIN Arts Organization will be presenting the 6th Annual Boston Hassle Fest! 

The Boston Hassle Fest will be held at the Cuisine en Locale in Somerville and feature over 40 bands!

Headliners include Body/Head, No Joy & Blues Control.

The 5Point Film Festival will be held at the Somerville Theatre on November 5th & 6th. The 5Point Film Festival aims to 'inspire adventures of all kinds'.

There will be a fall formal at the New England Aquarium in November. The formal will benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The event will be held on November 22nd from 9:30pm-1:00am.

Tickets are $115.00 (plus fees). There will be an open bar (beer & wine), appetizers & a DJ.

Biogen Idec will be sponsoring the 1st Annual Flavors of New England. The event will be held at the Seaport Hotel Boston in the Seaport District.
