"Grab your camera and join park rangers and local naturalists to observe animals who make their wintertime home in Boston Harbor and around the outer Harbor Islands. Guest naturalists include representatives from the National Park Service, New England Aquarium and Mass Audubon.

Boarding begins at 10:30am at Long Wharf North. Full cash bar, snacks and hot soups will be available for purchase onboard.

In the event of severe winter weather, this program will be rescheduled to January 30.

1. "Cohasset Castle, built in 1930, is an 8,600-square-foot private hilltop estate that sits on a 10-acre plot of land full of walking trails."

2. "Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill was built in 1875 by Dr. James R. Nichols, a chemist and agriculturist. It was used as his summer home. Today, it serves as a recreational park where plays, concerts, and community activities take place."

3. " in Gloucester was built in 1929 by inventor John Hays Hammond Jr. as a wedding present for his bride. Hammond is known as “The Father of the Remote Control” and a collector of medieval memorabilia. The castle is now a museum."

1."The Boston University Art Gallery, which presents four to five exhibitions annually and often incorporates local talent, is free daily. Located at 855 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m."

2. "The Art Complex Museum is free daily and houses the art collection of the Carl A. Weyerhaeuser family. The museum offers exhibitions, lectures, concerts, classes, demonstrations, and more. It’s located at 189 Alden St., Duxbury. Open Wednesday through Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m."

Boston's first running studio is scheduled to open this Saturday January 9. Starting with a few “nice and easy” classes and the continuing the following week with  a light schedule. By the end of the month, the studio is expected be up and running with a full schedule.
