The Boston Calling Music Festival is back! The 2nd music festival will be on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th. If you missed the first Boston Calling Music Festival, now is your change to get tickets and enjoy the show! 

The show will be similiar to the first Boston Calling Festival with two stages at City Hall Plaza and eighteen artists over a two day period! 

"Headlining the second Boston Calling will be celebrated indie rockers Vampire Weekend and homegrown electro pop group Passion Pit. Other artists on the bill will include hip-hop sensation Kendrick Lamar, rowdy Jersey rockers the Gaslight Anthem, R&B vocalist Solange (who was just in town for a party at the Institute of Contemporary Art), indie folkies Okkervil River, Providence alt-country favorites Deer Tick, and local synth poppers Bearstronaut. Also playing will be Local Natives, Flosstradamus, Major Lazer, the Airborne Toxic Event, Wolfgang Gartner, Bat for Lashes, Flume, Lucius, Big Black Delta, and You Won't."

Hanson will be performing at the House of Blues on Saturday, August 31st at 7:00pm. 

Prior to the event, Hanson fans can join them in 'Take the Walk' at 2:00pm. "Take The Walk is about giving you simple tangible ways to take action against the HIV/AIDS pandemic and poverty in Africa. A small donation, the purchase of a pair of shoes, the download of a song or simply taking a one-mile walk."

Hanson's world wide 'Anthem' tour will be traveling until early 2014. With multiple albums, hits, Grammy nominations and over 16 million album sales, Hanson is still going strong after 20 years. 

According to Isaac Hanson, the new albulm "'touches on most of our musical influences, a bit of soul, a bit of song craftsmanship and some good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll … this time it just has a little more fight in it'".

Tiesto at the Ocean Club 
Tiesto will be that the Ocean Club at Marina Bay on August 30th. Mass Brewer's Fest
The Mass Brewer's Fest will be on Friday, August 30th from 6pm-9:30pm. The event will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center Headhouse Concourses. This event will feature brewers and reps from all around Massachusetts and New England such as Banner Beer Company, Harpoon Brewery and Wachusetts Brewing Company. Tickets are available through the Mass Brewers Guild website.

Fireworks Viewing Cruise
Enjoy harborside views and fireworks with Boston Harbor Cruises on Saturday, August 31st. There are two options for the cruises. Guests can either board the fireworks viewing cruise or the dinner and fireworks cruise. Both cruises leave at 7pm. The fireworks display will be in honor of the Summer on the Waterfront and the Boston Arts Festival. Please check the Boston Harbor Cruises websites for further details.

Nick Offerman's 'American Ham' tour is coming to the Wilbur Theatre on Saturday, August 31st and Monday, September 2nd!

Nick Offerman has performed stand up since mid 1990 and is most widely known for his character as Ron Swanson in 'Parks and Recreation'. He has also appeared in such shows and movies as 'November', 'Sin City', 'American Body Shop' and 'Children's Hospital'. 

The performance is known to be full of "cautionary tales, humorous anecdotes, a few solipsisms, with minor nudity and some songs. "

King Richard's Faire in Carver will be starting on August 31st! Come experience live entertainment, rides, and games on the 80 acre site. 

There will be "over 100 talented artisans from journeyed from all over the country" at Kind Richard's Faire including acrobats, jugglers, dancers, fire eaters and, of course, puppeteers. 

"You’ll gasp as the King’s mounted knights battle on horseback, and laugh as bawdy beggars compete in mud. Strolling performers will engage you all day long as you frolic in our forest and try your skill at our Gaming Glen.

There will be a free yoga class available in Newton on Thursday, August 29th at 7:00pm. 

Relax and enjoy yoga with Well Within's instructor, Jill, in Wellington Park. Take in the beauty of the park while enjoying a soothing work out. This is an open event and welcomes those of different levels of experience.

It is highly suggested that participants wear comfortable clothing and bring their sunglasses and yoga mats.
