South End Historical Society House Tour

This past Saturday marked the 45th Annual South End Historical Society House Tour.  Not only is the tour the South End Historical Society’s biggest annual fundraiser, its also an incredibly fun neighborhood event.

The tour is a self guided walking tour of a select group of homes, mostly single families, throughout the South End neighborhood.  What better way to explore the neighborhood’s the past and present then through the lens of its unique homes on a perfect fall day?  This year’s tour featured six amazing and unique homes, highlighting endless design and decorating possibilities available.

The owners of the homes on this year’s tour have all have found unique ways to honor the historic nature of their homes while also incorporating ‘modern’ design elements, all executed in markedly different ways.  The tour is a great source of inspiration (and perhaps a touch of envy) as we think about our own homes.  With about 400 general admission tickets sold, the event is also a great opportunity to mix and mingle with our South End neighbors and visitors alike.

As a sponsor of the House Tour for many years, Charlesgate is grateful to the South End Historical Society, their volunteers and also to the homeowners who open their homes to the public for this fantastic event.
