If you like food and restaurants as much as I do, you'll definitely be interested in "A Taste of the South End", which is a charity benefit for the Aids Action Committee of Massachusetts being held next Tuesday (March 10th) at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama at 539 Tremont Street in the South End (obviously!).  Sample food, wine, and cocktails all in support of a good cause.

From the event website:

What do you get when you bring together 45 of the finest restaurants from Boston’s hottest culinary destination?  Taste of the South End!

For one night only, sample culinary creations from some of the best kitchens in Boston and get a taste of how delicious a night out in the South End can be. Attendees will enjoy bite-sized versions of dishes taken directly from the menus of their favorite restaurants, plus live cooking demonstrations, a silent auction and raffle, extensive wine tasting and beer sampling.

Admission  includes unlimited sampling from 45 of the South End’s finest restaurants plus complimentary fine wine, cocktails and more.

Each year, Taste of the South End is the talk of the town, delivering a spectacular evening of food and wine tasting in support of a vital community organization.

“The Taste of the South End is Boston's premier food & wine event in our neighborhood and it brings together all of the South End chefs for the AIDS Action Committee. It is a fine way to both raise money for a wonderful organization that does vital work in our community and also have fun saying hello to friends, neighbors and colleagues. I would not miss this event for the world,” said participating chef Gordon Hamersley.
