No matter how your laugh snickers out, come prepared with tissue in hand because comedy night will leave you rollin' in the aisles.

"Every Wednesday, local comic, essayist, and Boston Comedy Festival finalist Steve Macone hosts a comedy night at The Burren in Somerville."ComedyNight burren

This event comes with a variety of comedians in different stages in their career. Some are gettig their feet wet, while others are pros at droppin it like its' hot.

There is no telling what kind of night you will have - one night they even had a random beer chugging contest. Fill yourself tonight at 10pm (and every Wednesday) with fun and laughter. Or hey, you may be filling your belly with beer too so plan accordingly, or you may not be laughing too hard at work the next day. (That's my "beware of hangovers" disclosure... can't say I didn't warn ya.)

Tea Anyone?

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Sat, Jun 16, 2012

In 1973, Bostonians had a little different idea of a tea party. This was no Sunday brunch, I can reassure you of that - but the Boston Harbor may have a slightly different opinion than me (considering that it had its' own tasty experience!) When the Sons of Liberty - hundreds of them - disguised themselves as American Indians, they were on a mission to end "taxation without representation."

"On the night of the Boston Tea Party, three ships that had sailed from London carrying cargoes of British East India Company tea were moored in Boston Harbor. The vessels were built in America and owned by Americans. The Beaver and the Dartmouth were whalers, and the Eleanor was a full rigged ship. The Dartmouth arrived in Boston on November 28, 1773, the Eleanor on December 2, and the last to arrive was the Beaver, which came into port on December 15. Each of the three ships carried more than one hundred chests of British East India Company tea. 340 chests of British East India Company Tea, weighing over 92,000 pounds, were dumped overboard the night of December 16, 1773. All of the chests were smashed open with axes and the tea dumped into Boston Harbor. The cargo was worth more than $1,700,000 dollars in today’s money.

"Be a participant in the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution at the all new Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. Located on the Congress Street Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts, this floating museum is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here”, are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel. Meet the colonists, explore the ships, dump tea overboard just as the sons of liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. Stop in to Abigail’s Tea Room for teatime and visit the Gift Shop for special souvenirs. It’s educational, entertaining and enlightening—an experience not to be missed by adults and children of all ages."

On June 26, there is no need to start the kettle. Grab your fannie pack and head over to the new Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. Relive the past and endulge yourself in historical facts. Opening day is June 26th, so buy your tickets today to secure your spot!

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Fri, Jun 15, 2012

Another classic Boston experience.

If you are feeling blue, these blue men are sure to lighten up your day. The Blue Man Group Show is a must see, and if it isn't on your Boston bucket list, add it quick!

So now your probably wondering why i'm trying to talk you into going to see three men who are painted blue. Just trust me, i've seen the show and it is incredible. The Blue Man Group stars a trio of performers called Blue Men, who all wear blue makeup and bald caps. They are so entertaining that they were even showcased on The Tonight Show.  It's simply an outrageous audio visual spectacle, not to be missed.

The African Animals of Cambridge

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Thu, Jun 14, 2012

Tomorrow is the last day to witness the wild African animals that roam the streets of Cambridge. Watch out for the lions because they are fierce! Ok, so no, you don't need to bring your bow and arrow because these animals are only as real as the paper they are drawn on, but you will definitely be impressed with the distinct detail.

365 things to do Move Me

“The idea of taking art to the street is what we’re trying to do,” said artist Roberta Paul, who lives in a studio in Netwonville.

"Move Me" is a pop up art project that travels the streets of Cambridge. For the past two weeks you would be lucky to get a glimpse of a wild African animal at a stop light. It has been the talk of the town all week, so make sure to take a drive or walk through Cambridge before these animals head back to the jungle (or on someone's wall.)

Gentleman to Dick. (I know, right?)

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Tue, Jun 12, 2012

Hey, they said it first, so quit threatening to wash my mouth out!

If you are in for a thrilling afternoon or evening in Boston, this place is a must! For all of you gentlemen out there, if you are having trouble figuring out how to really drive your significant other crazy, then this place is a one stop tutorial! (make sure to bring your notepad!)

Make sure to keep your game face on because these waitors won't hesitate to forget that manners even exist. Their actions are distasteful, but you can't help but chuckle with confusion when your silverware is THROWN on the table, or you're ignored time and time again.

365 things to do in Boston Dick's last resort

Enjoy some grub and throw back some cold one's at Dick's Last Resort in Quincy Market at Historic Faneuil Hall! If you are used to being treated with the upmost respect I wouldn't hold your breath because but these waiters are Dicks... SERIOUSLY!

I know from experience that the waitstaff never fails to inflict humor upon its' guests so what are you waiting for? Break the rules and indulge yourself in rudeness at Dick's Last Resort... not to mention they have live music every night!
