Every Friday and Saturday night from 9:00pm to 12:00am executive pastry chef Tim Fonseca will set out an array of decadent desserts that'd make anyone smile. Whether you're on your way home from a show in the nearby Theater District or looking to satisfy a late night craving, you can stop in and try out an assortment of cakes, cookies, crepes, bread puddings and cupcakes before retiring for the evening. The Revere Beach National Sand Sculpting Festival,  is held annually at Revere Beach in Revere, Massachusetts.  The Festival is one of the largest contests of its kind and  is one of the premier events for sand sculptors all over the world. This year’s event will be held Thursday, July 15, 2010 – Sunday July 18, 2010.

There will be live entertainment and vendors throughout the weekend as well.

This is a family oriented event that has garnered both national and international media attention over the last 4 years and has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The New York Times, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and the Travel Channel.

Starts at 9AM, at Revere Beach Boulevard Revere, MA. We suggest possibly going a bit early to watch the whole process. It's quite enthralling.

Meet blue, orca, and sperm whales and follow humpbacks as they travel thousands of miles from the krill blooms off the frigid coast of Alaska to give birth in the warm waters of Hawaii. Featuring spectacular underwater footage of mothers, calves, and escorts, Whales reveals many little-known aspects of these elusive creatures and celebrates the music, play, and incredible strength of Earth's largest inhabitants.

The 15th Annual Boston French Film Festival contains twenty-three Boston premieres. The selections feature France’s finest actors and directors, including Catherine Deneuve, Christophe Honoré, Isabelle Huppert, and Vanessa Paradis.

Join the MFA on July 8 for a pre-screening reception at 6 pm in Bravo restaurant, featuring passed hors d’oevres and open bar. Tickets include screening. Tickets: MFA members, seniors, and students $30; general admission $35.

Farewell, starring Guillaume Canet, opens the festival with a gripping story of a young French engineer involved in Cold War espionage in Moscow. Discussion with director Christian Carion follows screening.
