Today is opening day for LaserLab at Museum of Science, where you can learn how these devices effect our everyday lives. It's been 50 years since the invention of the laser (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation), and you can celebrate by playing a game of Laser foosball and guiding a laser beam through a labyrinth.
