Looking for a little culinary inspiration? Chef Ana Sortun and Pastry Chef Maura Kilpatrick have put together a wide range of fall cooking classes sharing the secrets of their success at both Sofra Bakery and Oleana. Peruse the following options then sign on to try your hand at cooking something new - maybe pumpkin kunefe (sign up for the All About Pumpkin class) or sesame cashew bars (featured in Holiday Gift Giving). Classes start at 6:30pm at Sofra (1 Belmont Street in Cambridge) and include a recipe booklet, detailed demonstrations and samples of everything the chef prepares (with wine pairings). Prices vary. $110 per person
Chef Cassie Piuma will show you how creative vegetarian preparations can be with recipes including farmer's market dolmas, stuffed leaves, red lentil and coconut kibbeh with green curry, and greek-style giant baked beans.

Sunday, November 13th - Tarts & Pies ‘Sofra Style'
$75 per person
Chef Maura Kilpatrick will show you how to create Sofra specialties at home. These Eastern Mediterranean pastry recipes include caramelized pear & fig bisteeya, apple and quince strudel, and pecan pie with medjool dates.

Sunday, December 4th - Holiday Gift Giving
$75 per person
Chef Shira Melen will help you create many food gifts for the holidays from her signature peppermint patties and french macaroons to panforte, tahini hot chocolate and sesame cashew bars.

Sunday, December 11th - A Sofra Holiday Breakfast
$75 per person
Chef Maura Kilpatrick will teach you how to create a Sofra breakfast at home with recipes like cranberry cornmeal coffee cake, sofra's own chai, turkish breakfast. You will also learn the secrets to making amazing brioche dough, and how to turn it into Sweet pear foccacia and market tarts.
