What is the Friday After Thanksgiving? A grand event that could only happen at MIT! Participants link their mini chain reactions together forming one mega chain reaction – set off at the end as the event's thrilling culmination.
It's like watching a giant domino demonstration. 1,500 people from all over watch and participate in this fun-for-all-ages "extreme" event.
"Join us at the MIT Museum’s 14th annual Friday After Thanksgiving Chain Reaction Event. The event features over 35 mini chain reactions linked together with the help of renowned artist and chain reaction creator, Arthur Ganson. To celebrate the 14th annual F.A.T., participants are asked to design contraptions that celebrate the 14-line sonnet, or write a sonnet to accompany their machine. The mega chain reaction will be set off as the events wacky culmination with a surprise ending by Ganson."
