So, have you been over to Fenway's Restaurant Row yet? Because if you haven't you should! All those restaurants right in front of you - prime of the picking. And today, today folks...Swish Shabu has it's grand opening!

I can't WAIT! "What is Shabu?  Shabu is the method of cooking where meats and vegetables are cooked in a hot pot tableside accompanied with flavor enhancing dipping sauces. Shabu-shabu directly translates to swish-swish, referring to the sound made as thinly sliced meat passes through the pot of boiling soup.

Shabu was believed to have originated in Mongolia from Genghis Khan, who developed an efficient way of feeding his army to conserve fuel during military campaigns. Soldiers would gather around large pots of soup with their rations of meats and vegetables and cook surrounding the fire. The soup is then consumed over rice or noodles.

Here at Swish Shabu, we allow you to prepare meals to your preference and style in a healthy and nutritious manner. The soup is already prepared so you only need to add what your heart desires. Be it paper thin slices of prime rib or delicate morsels of shrimp and scallops, we want you to savor each bite and relish how this heightens the flavors of your soup. Feel free to toss in the noodles first or save it for last- there's no wrong way to enjoy Shabu."
