Quit complaining about Hurricane Sandy. Yes I know, it must be so awful to not have to go to work or school, but there are no excuses for you to be a couch potato. I'm from the South, so post-hurricane days are, as ya'll would say.. "wicked awesome." Since we aren't in New Orleans and lack 12 foot gators on the streets today, why not go tubing down Beacon Hill. It sounds kind of crazy but I mean come on guys - YOLO!!! (you only live once) If you have "do something crazy" on your bucket list then today is your day. And you may even make the news! Honey badger don't care, so what are you waiting for?

If you are thinking about being naughty this Christmas season then... well don't. And get your mind out of the gutter! But hey, who said we can't be scandalous when it comes to our food and wine. Pull out your bad girl outfit and head on over to Tryst restaurant in Arlington this November. With Halloween just around the corner, it is time to start planning the big day! Wine and the holidays are a pair that will never separate. As the holiday season approaches, we will show you that the key to a great wine has nothing to do with its price.

If you are looking for some good Mexican food, then The Olé Mexican Grill in Cambridge is the place to be! Taco Loco Monday's is from 5:30PM-10:00PM and it is quite the tasty treat. 

Chef Erwin Ramos of Olé Restaurant Group was inspired by his recent trip to Mexico and has been motivated to show off his latest remix on culture and cuisine. On Taco Loco Mondays pay $14 and choose four tacos from a selection of over a dozen regional favorites with a choice of (1) side including Mexican rice, cilantro rice, black beans, Frijoles Charros or plantains.Every Monday will be different so don't hesitate to pick up the phone and give them a quick ring. This culinary tour of Mexico may surprise you with shrimp, steak, pork, peppers... who knows! Chef Ramos is going to give you a taste of Mexico that he has learned from various native chefs. Rumor has it that they even have margaritas... just sayin.

You can't argue with me when I tell ya it's getting cold outside. It's that season where we (or at least I know I'm guilty of it) like to bundle up under a blanket, watch tv, and EAT! Don't deny it y'all. Maybe I went a little overboard with today's picture, but I still bet your drinking hot chocolate right now and have warm sugar cookies baking in the oven. The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is going to teach us how to keep the flavor, and not keep the fat with “Light Comfort Foods”. On Wednesday, November 7^th, 2012 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, take a quick three hour class and learn how to transform some of your favorite meals into something you won't regret eating. Some foods they will be discussing include chicken pot pie, juicy meatballs and even fried chicken!

Hello there Halloween pre-gamers. I'm sure you are pumped to be one of the few to eat good the night before Halloween. No need to hold back on the big day, right? Well Halloween Eve is your night to do it right, and with some wicked good seafood. Yes, we have all been to seafood restaurants, and we have no clue where the seafood came from. It's similar to how they put "made from real chicken" on chicken nugget bags, and then they come out with a Youtube video to show us the real truth. Well on Halloween Eve there is no reason to be spooked by your dinner plate. Enjoy sustainably harvested seafood with confidence!

Hey there fully-fed people. Let's not get big headed or anything because rumor has it (or really it's just a fact) that 1 out of every 5 people in Boston don't know where their next meal is going to come from. As scary as that sounds, it really is. So what can you do to help? On Sunday, October 28th you can make a difference by going to the annual Ultimate Tailgate Party, hosted by Lovin’ Spoonfuls. 

"Since founding Lovin' Spoonfuls, 501(c)(3) non-profit, in 2010, Ashley Stanley and her team have collected more than 150,000lbs of fresh, healthy food that would otherwise be thrown away, and distributed it at no cost to local soup kitchens, homeless shelters and crisis centers throughout the city. Last year’s ultimate tailgate party allowed Lovin’s team to put another truck on the road, doubling their ability to pick up and drop off rescued food, and this year aims to do the same!"

Well there ya go... looks to me like Ashley is pretty much a B-A. Don't know what B-A stands for? Then just know she is pretty much the bomb.com! Support this great cause while enjoying an all-star team of 12 of Boston’s premiere chefs that will once again join the party by cooking their own creative takes on their favorite tailgate food.

Halloween is soon to be approaching us, so why not do something a little bit different this year. Trick or treating is over rated anyways so grab your friends and bravely walk aboard the Haunted Ghost Ship. Enjoy a night filled with dancing, drinking, fun people, and a very spooky atmosphere. Who knows, maybe this ghost ship will get lost at sea? I haven't decided if I'm going to risk it yet, but all of you fearless people make sure to get your tickets quick for this event sells out fast. 

They will be leaving the Boston Harbor at 9PM sharp, and returning at midnight (we hope) so plan to spend Saturday, October 27 on the edge.
