365 things to do in boston freedom pub crawl

Now this is definitely the ultimate Boston pub crawl! James and Josh (honestly, these are just two random people who I found on the internet) began this ultimate drinking frenzy pub crawl seven years ago, for really no reason at all. The original name of the pub crawl was The Freedom Trail Pub Crawl since it loosely followed the Freedom Trail in Boston, MA. There are tons of bars along the route, many of which are world-renowned for their history and total awesomeness.

For all you early birds who actually show up on time, it's starts at The Place in Boston so call in advance for directions! OR, you could do what I do and ask the taxi driver, but who knows where you will end up then? You know what, just mapquest it!

So why not? Enjoy drinks at over 12 bars in the government center area with 100 of your closest Bostonian friends through the historic Faneuil Hall area. The organizers have negotiated specials at most bars and free food is provided at specialty bars. Play games, win ridiculous prizes like Sox tickets, and make new friends over a few pints. It's the 7th Annual Crawl they are doing so you know they must be doing something right (or maybe they just drink so much they can't remember so they keep repeating the same thing every year?) Either way, I know i'm going so I better see you there Saturday, July 21, from 12:30pm to 9:00pm. Sweet t-shirt, too.

Movies by Moonlight at the Boston Harbor Hotel

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Fri, Jul 13, 2012

Each Friday this summer, start the weekend with Boston Harbor Hotel's Movies by Moonlight! An outdoor screen is set up on the side of the large gazebo right over the Harbor. Cafe patrons and pedestrians can watch a movie and absorb the ambience of the waterfront.

Don't forget to movie pregame! (Don't get out of control or anything cause they aren't going to pause the movie for you to use the restroom!) Before enjoying Movies by Moonlight each Friday, the Boston Harbor Hotel invites you to start the weekend off by the water and enjoy great company and music from DJ Mike Amado and Friends. Music will begin at 4:30pm every Friday evening and will end shortly before dusk, when Movies by Moonlight begins.

Movies by Moonlight offers guests a chance to revisit Hollywood’s silver screen and modern classics, which I KNOW YOU LOVE THOSE CLASSICS!! Like, who doesn't? Here is the list of upcoming dates and movies... and make sure to show up early to get your dance on!

Make sure to pull out your best New Orleans outfit and get ready for a jazzin' night of fun! Every Thursday and Friday up until July 27th, the newly renovated Avenue One lounge will spoil you with New England style cuisine and signature cocktails. While relaxing, your ears will be in for quite the treat. These live jazz evenings already have people talking. And in case you didn't know, this is also the perfect location in downtown Boston to relax after a long day of work or touring around the city. So pull out your smart phones and GPS Hyatt Regency Boston, One Avenue de Lafayette, Boston, Massachusetts.

And before I let you go, may I please caution you - the music may make you feel like you're on Bourbon Street in New Orleans...but don't be deceived!! (I would feel bad not doing a disclaimer - I mean, I would hate for you to stumble out the Hyatt and think that you were in the USA's number one party town - although WE KNOW you would give them a run for their money)  :)

Show up Thursday and Friday's from 7-10pm

Not feeling grandma's homemade pie? I mean it is her "famous" recipe passed down for generations. Well quit pretending and swap it out!

On Sunday, July 15th from 2-4 PM make sure to bring your best dish! At The Boston Food Swap at Space With a Soul, people will join to exchange creative prepared foods. All swap items must be homemade, homegrown, or foraged by you. Think baked goods, jam, pickles, spreads, honey, vinegar, granola, pasta, fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, homemade sausages, backyard eggs, home brews … you name it!

So get out your dusty recipe book now and start planning! And if you're like me and lack the privilege of owning a recipe book, grab the remote and get ready for the Food Network- I know, I can't believe i'm watching it either. Don't have cable? Well just throw something together and give your creation a cool name. At least then people will think it's worth eating... I think?

Get your tickets here.
