365 Things to Do in Boston - New Tips Daily

The African Animals of Cambridge

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Thu, Jun 14, 2012

Tomorrow is the last day to witness the wild African animals that roam the streets of Cambridge. Watch out for the lions because they are fierce! Ok, so no, you don't need to bring your bow and arrow because these animals are only as real as the paper they are drawn on, but you will definitely be impressed with the distinct detail.

365 things to do Move Me

“The idea of taking art to the street is what we’re trying to do,” said artist Roberta Paul, who lives in a studio in Netwonville.

"Move Me" is a pop up art project that travels the streets of Cambridge. For the past two weeks you would be lucky to get a glimpse of a wild African animal at a stop light. It has been the talk of the town all week, so make sure to take a drive or walk through Cambridge before these animals head back to the jungle (or on someone's wall.)

Just Duck It.

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Wed, Jun 13, 2012

Don't be weary when I tell you you'll be taking a stroll around town in a D.U.C.K. Now calm down, there aren't any quackers on this tour, but you sure will be greeted by your own personal, legendary conDUCKtor.

Yes this a classic. And yes, you've heard of the Duck Tours before. But have you actually taken a ride on a duck boat?

Make like one of our championship Teams and head over for a ride!

But for those of you living under a rock and not quite sure what a Duck Tour is, here goes:

"Cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts, from the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the TD Banknorth Garden, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more"

And ohhh, before I forget to tell you, you may want to bring a bathing suit because your duck for the day is going swimming! OK, so no, you aren't really going to get wet, but we all know ducks can't resist water AKA get ready to roll right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines! And for all of you non-swimmers, have no fear!! This duck of a ride is actually a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. (cool, right?)

Gentleman to Dick. (I know, right?)

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Tue, Jun 12, 2012

Hey, they said it first, so quit threatening to wash my mouth out!

If you are in for a thrilling afternoon or evening in Boston, this place is a must! For all of you gentlemen out there, if you are having trouble figuring out how to really drive your significant other crazy, then this place is a one stop tutorial! (make sure to bring your notepad!)

Make sure to keep your game face on because these waitors won't hesitate to forget that manners even exist. Their actions are distasteful, but you can't help but chuckle with confusion when your silverware is THROWN on the table, or you're ignored time and time again.

365 things to do in Boston Dick's last resort

Enjoy some grub and throw back some cold one's at Dick's Last Resort in Quincy Market at Historic Faneuil Hall! If you are used to being treated with the upmost respect I wouldn't hold your breath because but these waiters are Dicks... SERIOUSLY!

I know from experience that the waitstaff never fails to inflict humor upon its' guests so what are you waiting for? Break the rules and indulge yourself in rudeness at Dick's Last Resort... not to mention they have live music every night!

OH MAMMA MIA!

Strap your belt buckle on tight, (you especially guys, or you may be in the next script) because this sensational broadway hit never fails to have its' audience singing and dancing in the aisles.

Sophie, the bride-to-be, wants one thing- her father to walk her down the aisle. After nosying around through her mother's diary, (hey don't act like you haven't rummaged through someone's personal information before) she realizes that her mom was quite the catch. Three's a charm right?

"A mother. A daughter. And three possible dads. A trip down the aidle you'll never forget."

Street Meat? Yeah, Seriously!

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Sat, Jun 09, 2012

On Sunday, June 10th all local restaurants surrounding the UMass Boston Campus Center better hail or bail because these food trucks are wheelin' in quick, and taking over more than just taste buds - I guess we could say they are redefining what it means when you say "melt in your mouth."

Food Truck Festival

When food trucks first started in the US they were known as “roach coaches” and people were skeptical of consuming “street meat.” But fear no longer!!

Don't ride the roach coach and get your tickets to this New England Food Truck Festival today. It may not be your traditional Sunday brunch, but this street meat sure does have quite the enticing reputation... or "that's what she said." ;)

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Thu, Jun 07, 2012

Boston Local Support; stronger than ever. Bostonians never fail to boast about the amazing city they live in, and now putting those actions into words are easier than ever. (Go big or go home, right?) This Saturday, natives and new-comers will be embracing their local brand by engaging in a a true Boston beer event.

365 things to do in boston - hyper local brew fest

The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston (SBN) realizes the growing interest and importance of local craft brews, and on Saturday, June 16th they will prove their belief and dedication through every sip of beer they have (or chug.)

"The brewfest will feature local craft brewers and highlight, promote and celebrate brews that are made with as many local crops and local ingredients as possible."

Steady yourself and entwine your lips with some of Somerville's most admired thirst quenchers. Join the adventure and mingle with locals from miles around for this brew tastin', no hatin' kind of evening... cause as you know, there's no place like home. (and of course we have each other's backs, our at least our neighbors... especially if they are making beer!!)

Super Hero Bar Crawl

Posted by Tara Peterson on Sat, Apr 07, 2012

superherocrawl

That's right. Suit up super heros, because tonight is your night to party. Let the criminals sort things out themselves.

The people have spoken. We're getting ready for our 2nd People's Choice Crawl. RSVP here.

Every year we get dozens of suggestions for bar crawl themes. However, there just isn't enough time for us to plan for them all. So for the 2nd time, we left it up to you. We set up our poll and the results were in favor of a Super Hero Crawl.

We'll be supporting the Cradles to Crayons charity. Crawl in Boston is a social networking group that gives professionals a chance to meet new people in a casual and fun atmosphere. People of all ages have gathered to join the bar crawls, and we’ve raised money  for local charities. We also spread the word about other similar events we’ve heard about, as well as new places and bar/restaurant specials. We’re bringing people together, one drink at a time for local charities.

To get all the information and figure out what tights to wear click here.

Where: 1 Faneuil Hall Market Pl
