Beer lovers rejoice as the Annual Mass Brewers Fest returns for a second year. It's a full-fledged festival of beer, featuring more than 80 beers from over 20 Massachusetts breweries. Recently granted permission to stay open until the wee hours, Citizen Public House & Oyster Bar celebrates with a new menu and, not surprisingly, a party. On Sunday, August 28th from 10:00pm until 2:00am, they'll be welcoming neighbors, friends and industry folk to celebrate their new 2:00am license, which allows them to serve food until 1:30am and drinks until 2:00am. The drinks will be flowing (thanks to the folks at Sailor Jerry, Plymouth, Beefeater, Pernod Absinthe, Four Roses, Square One and Narragansett), and chef de cuisine Craig Hutchinson will be providing samples from his fresh-from-the-printer Night Owl menu which will be available from 1:00-1:30am (the regular menu will be available right up until 1:00am). The celebrated smash hit The Donkey Show now takes Boston by storm, bringing you the ultimate disco experience—a crazy circus of mirror balls and feathered divas, of roller skaters and hustle queens. Come party on the dance floor to all the 70s disco hits you know by heart as the show unfolds around you.

 A.R.T.’s OBERON houses this magical romp inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream. Join the party under the disco ball. After the show, the party continues into the night so you can live out your own fantasy of disco fever!

kiteAs a kid I loved flying kites. I would see a plane fly by and wonder, is my kite to get stuck in the engine's? There was something about feeling the wind pull on that string that was so exciting! I did watch Mary Poppins WAY to much as a kid though.
Well, here's your chance to go fly a kite!

Enjoy flying your kite from the highest point in Boston Harbor, one of the city's best kite flying destinations!

Bring or make your own. Materials provided. First come, first serve. One kite per family.

MBTA: Blue Line to Aquarium. Short walk to Long Warf

During the summer season, park ferries depart frequently from Long Wharf, Boston to Spectacle Island. We suggest arriving at the dock at least 30 minutes prior to departure to allow time for ticketing and boarding. Regular ferry fees apply.

An interisland ferry connecting Georges and Spectacle Islands operates on Fridays-Sundays. Georges Island is accessible from four mainland piers.
