The South End Garden Tours aren't the only way to enjoy gardens to enjoy this year! Here are a few suggestions on other gardens and parks to check out around the Boston area.

Arnold Arboretum- Jamaica Plain
The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful landmark with wonderful plants, trees, vines and an array of flowers. The Arnold Arboretum is most famous for its lilacs. The arboretum currently has more than 176 varieties of lilacs! The Arnold Arboretum is just a small part of Boston's Emerald Necklace, which links multiple parks and waterways in Boston. 

Public Gardens- Back Bay
The Public Garden is one of the most visited places in Boston for locals and tourists alike. The summertime is a wonderful time to visit because of the array of floral arrangements, plants and statues. This scenic area is a wonderful place for a picnic or just walking through when visiting the city.

Mytoi Garden- Martha's Vineyard

Every Wednesdays and Fridays, there will be free concerts in the courtyard at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. 

The Wednesday performances will be held at 6:00pm and Fridays the concerts will be held at 12:30pm. 

The courtyard will host music that ranges from "jazz to classical and from world to folk". Performances include 3 Sudacas, Erika Van Pelt, Patrick Coman and Bill Lowe.

The World Cup is in full swing and there are some awesome bars in the area that have some dedicated fans. Here are the top bars in the area to watch, enjoy and experience the World Cup Games. 

The Banshee, Dorchester

On Saturday, June 21, 2014, take a stroll through the South End Garden Tour.

The self guided tour will start at the Boston Public Libarary from 10 a.m. to 4:00pm. Tickets and maps will be available at the beginning of the tour. 

"The Tour features many beautiful, private and public gardens in the South End – from pocket-sized patio spaces to rooftop terraces to neighborhood parks and community gardens. All of the gardens show the creativity of the owners and gardeners, and the joy they receive from developing and caring for a city garden. The Sam Adam Brewery in Jamaica Plain hosts a very interesting event ever year knows as the 'Brewlywed' Event. 

The Brewlywed Event, is a one day only event where Brewlywed Ale is available at Sam Adams. This beer is a Belgium style ale that is marketed in the middle of wedding season to all those who love Sam Adams and will be tying the knot! 

The Brewlywed will be available at Sam Adams from 9am-1pm on Wednesday, June 18th. Alongside this specialty beer, couples will also be able to say 'I do' at the brewery!

The Annual Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach Party is almost here! Held in City Hall, the event will have the grilling masters from all over, including Chicago,Texas and Australia!

This year, the presentations at the Hatchshell by the Esplanade will include Despicable Me 2, The Goonies, Men in Black 3 and The Lego Movie. The first featured film will be Monsters University on Friday, June 20th.

Despite the weather, the Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting event is still scheduled to start Friday, June 13th. The entire area will be illuminated for night viewing through July 6th. 

The Hampton Beach Sand Sculpture Event is a wonderful way for visitors to enjoy watching artists create beautiful masterpieces out of "sand, water and a bit of creativity."

"This invitational only event has grown in leaps and bounds making it the largest Masters competition in the Northeast United States. This year Hampton Beach will feature a sponsor site of 150 tons, Ten world class masters vying for $15,000.00 in purse and entry awards, free lessons and will be illuminated at night for viewing and much much more. The Stone Zoo in Stoneham, MA has a ton of awesome events going on over the summer! One of their main events is their "A Wild Affair" tasting event! The event will be held on Saturday, June 21st from 5:30pm-9:30pm.
