The crawl is expecting 5,000 participants and spans over 23 pubs. 

A portion of the proceeds be making a contribution to some great charities: COPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER and THE LEARY FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION. A portion of each ticket sale will go towards each charity, but we also encourage additional donations.

So hydrate up on Friday night and be ready to go prepare for St. Patty's Day, only a week after this event...

"Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land": Boston Abolitionists, 1831-1865

In the decades leading up to the Civil War, Boston became a center of the national antislavery movement, and in 1831 William Lloyd Garrison, "all on fire" for the cause, began publication of The Liberator, the country's leading abolitionist newspaper. There was strong resistance to the radical movement not only in the slaveholding South but among Northerners' as well. The exhibition features manuscripts, photographs, artifacts and portraits related to the abolitionist movement in Boston

Bob Saget Stand Up....

Saget, who has widely known as the all american nice guy, Danny Tanner, on the sitcom Full House, is actually a pretty risque comic, with a penchant for the dirty.... "I've always thought there was a time and a place for filth..." According to his website, the tone will be full of "filth and craziness." Will some of that make it into his stand-up act? See for yourself when he headlines at the Wilbur.

Borrowing the name ‘iditarod’ from the Alaskan dog sled race and replacing the dogs with people (you) and the sleds with shopping carts, add in team themes, costumes, contests, 5K and a food drive and we get the Boston Urban Iditarod.

Friday $1 Children's Museum Admission.......

The Boston Children's Museum has partnered with Targetto present "Target $1 Friday Nights," every Friday evening from 5-9pm, when families can enjoy the entire museum for $1. For less than a cup of coffee, you can enjoy exhibits such as the New Balance Climb, a 3-story climbing sculpture made of brightly painted curved platforms, rising like a fleet of magic carpets up the glass lobby, or Peep's World, a hands-on, interactive science exhibit. With these and hundreds of other things to do at the museum, it might be the best dollar you ever spent. Fridays, beginning March 1, 5-9 p.m. All ages. $1. The museum is located at 300 Congress St. in The Fort Point Channel section of Boston.

Hasty Pudding Theatricals....

Since 1844, Hasty Pudding Theatricals has been presenting theater written and produced by the students of Harvard University. In fact, they have done so every year, with the exceptions of WWI and WWII.

Catch their latest piece, There's Something About Maui, making its debut on March 1st, with additional shows on March 5th and 6th. All shows start at 8pm and are located at 12 Holyoke Street in Cambridge.

The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company goes Indoor at The Modern.....

The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, best known for its outdoor productions of Shakespeare on the Common, has gone indoor. In conjunction with Suffolk University's Modern Theatre, the CSC brings you The Last Will, through Feb 24th. The Last Will is a Robert Brustein play which examines the final year's of Shakespeare's life, focusing on his marriage. This canlt miss production is almost gone, so catch it while you can.....
