A little bit about Wally's:
Wally's Café is among the oldest family owned and operated jazz clubs in existence.  It was founded in 1947 by Mr. Joseph L. Walcott.  They feature live music 365 days a year.  Wally's is fortunate to be surrounded by some of the nations most acclaimed institutions for educating musicians.  The bands featured nightly at the club are made up of musicians from these institutions, practicing and perfecting their craft.  Many of these young aspiring musicians are considered by some to be among the most talented in the nation.  This is why Wally's is considered the "Training Ground".  The number of celebrated musicians who have used our stage in the process of perfecting their art is long.

Mark Morris, move over: for its third annual Thanksgiving Weekend chamber-opera production, the Boston Early Music Festival is putting on Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, with Laura Pudwell as Dido, Douglas Williams as Aeneas, and Yulia Van Doren as Belinda, plus actual Baroque dancing. And the chance to pick up the brand new BEMF recording of one of the BEMF’s 2008 chamber operas, Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Actéon. (We haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but the packaging gets 10 out of 10.) Two performances this year instead of the previous one, so tickets may not last long at Jordan Hall.

I admit, I have a thing for Hitchcock films. I give my dad that credit. If you don't have any plans on Sunday, and just want to chill and take it easy, go to Coolidge Corner Theater at 7pm, as they are playing Rear Window. Tickets are $9.75

A little synopis of the film: Photojournalist L.B. Jefferies (James Stewart) is housebound after breaking his leg, but being stuck in his Greenwich Village apartment is the least of his concerns after he believes that he witnesses a murder across his backyard. None of his visitors, who include his wealthy flame Lisa (Grace Kelly), nurse Stella (Thelma Ritter) and friend Tom (Wendell Corey) believe him. How can Jefferies convince his nearest and dearest that there is a murderer on the prowl before he becomes the next target?

YEAH!! The holidays are here!! Faneuil Hall Marketplace will be hosting a day of holiday entertainment from 10am-6pm Saturday, November 20.

The festivities will include musical entertainment, delicious food and refreshments and a special apperance by characters from Boston Ballet's "The Nutcracker." At 5pm the Marketplace holiday tree will be illuminated with over 25,000 white sparkling lights, and New England Patriots player Jerod Mayo will be the special guest. Let the festivities begin!!
