365 Things to Do in Boston - New Tips Daily

Roll Tide Roll with Alabama Football fans at White Horse Tavern

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Fri, Sep 28, 2012

365 things to do in boston alabama white horse tavernIf you know anything about college football, then you know Alabama fans redefine the word dedication- on the field, in the stands, and definitely at the bar. Boston doesn't fall short when hosting Alabama fans in the Northeast and the White Horse Tavern is where game day goes down. (and the party) If you are looking for a rowdy Saturday- VERY rowdy Saturday- than you may want to buy some cowboy boots, put on your classiest (or trashiest) crimson red shirt, and make way to The White Horse Tavern in Allston. Gathered there you will find true Alabama fans. Don't know what to expect? Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's one of those "if you can't beat em' join em" events. ROLL TIDE ROLL Y'ALL! (Check out the Alabama football schedule here)

See Jazz Greats at the12th Annual Beantown Jazz Festival

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Sun, Sep 23, 2012

365 things to do in Boston BeanTown Jazz FestivalBéla Fleck and the Marcus Roberts Trio, Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival is a South End Jazzin' kind of time. Actually, it is the South End's first Jazz festival ever and the first one -12 years ago- had over 10,000 people! (They weren't expecting that...) This event hasn't slowed down a bit, and on September 29, 2012 they are going to throw down South End style. Twelve years later they have drastically grown the festival to over 60,000 people! That alone is proof enough that this event is an impactful part of Boston's cultural calendar.

"Enjoy world-class music on three stages, great eats, and good times stretching six blocks in Boston’s historic South End. Families are entertained with face painting, inflatables, photos, and an instrument petting zoo. More than 70 vendors participate, making the Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival the place to be."

So sketch it in the calendar and don't be the only person around missing out on this wicked awesome event. Rumor has it that there will be over 70,000 people this year and you don't want to be "that person." ... you know, that person who sits inside their man cave all day and never leaves the house. Show New Orleans who really knows how to JAZZ OUT and make your way to South End!
