Over the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to be present at area college housing fairs showcasing our rental listings and services. Northeastern, Suffolk, and Boston University all welcomed us into their schools to meet with students. It was a great few days, where out student rental team, Alessandro Santana and Jake Downey, were able to answer questions about off campus living, fees, neighborhoods, etc. They were also able to showcase some of our exclusive listings and get some rented!

As part of our housing rentals, we offered tickets to an area sporting or theatre event with each closed rental transaction from one of the fairs. This created a lot of buzz and excitement (in addition to having a HUGE number of listings in the areas!) We work with almost every landlord around each school and have exclusive listings you won’t find at other companies throughout the neighborhoods.

As Jake Downey put it, “Participating in the College housing fairs brought back bitter sweet memories of my college days. Most of the students were very friendly and knew the Boston rental market pretty well. Our Apple TV was a big hit for the raffle prize, and a new incentive Charlesgate adopted (Pick your choice of tickets to the Redsox, Celtics, or Blue Man Group) turned a lot of heads and set us apart from the competition. It’s always difficult  for a business to stand out at any type of fair or show, but thanks to early preparation and planning, the Charlesgate team rose to the occasion. Thanks to BU, Suffolk, and Northeastern for a well organized event! We will be back next year”
