Not true! Staging can help any home of any value look its best. A big component of staging is to help people see how a room or space can be used. Especially in smaller spaces, it is important to show how the flow of a home is conducive to a buyer’s lifestyle.

2. Paint all your walls white.

STOP! All white walls can leave a dull and lifeless feeling to a home. Oftentimes, a taupe or beige can be a much better choice. These colors help warm up a space and are neutral. Fresh paint is a huge plus but don’t be afraid of a little color.

3. Staging will raise the selling price of your home.

Not necessarily. We would love it if that were always true but the reality is it can help a home sell quicker – not necessarily at a higher price. The market still sets the price at the end of the day (what a buyer will pay vs. what a seller will sell for.)

5. You have to spend a lot of money to stage your home.

You may be surprised how inexpensive home staging companies can be – especially if it saves you month’s of your mortgage by getting your home sold! Plus, sometimes your real estate agent can offer you free tips that will help do the trick.
