About Fernanda
Fernanda, is a renowned interior designer, founder, store-owner and creator of a unique minimalist decoration style and furnishings for the home. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina where she succeeded in the design field, she moved to the US and established simplemente blanco where she exhibits and sells her own line of furnishings and designs.
She became a realtor to combine the interior design expertise with real estate to offer her clients a one-stop shop for their real estate and design needs. Fernanda’s work includes advising and assisting builders, constructors and renovators early on in their projects to provide a high level of style to the finished construction or renovation.
Her work has been featured extensively in some of the most relevant design media outlets in Argentina and the US including Elle Decoration, Boston Magazine, New England Magazine, Boston Globe, House Beautiful, Country Living, Domino Magazine, In Style, and People, among others. She was named one of 25 most stylish Bostonians in 2007.
She also has participated in different types of fundraising events such the Junior League of Boston and other charities in the Boston area.
When she is not working you can find her in her weekend home in the mountains in the Sunapee region, taking long walks around the lake, swimming, gardening and boating but most of all (and always) cooking and entertaining, making Italian pasta or baking madeleines and French pastries too.
A Few Questions with Fernanda
Why did you decide to pursue real estate as your career?
I found that some of my design clients would ask me for input when making offers for houses or later on when renovating them, so I wanted to
merge my passion for interior design with real estate to better serve my clients’ needs.
What brought you to Charlesgate?
I knew about it by its excellent reputation built but also when I checked it out, the environment is very engaging, friendly and welcoming. So I thought it would be a very good fit for me.
What are you most excited about in starting your new career (in real estate at Charlesgate)?
I like the approach that Charlesgate brings to real estate and the projects it develops. It is open minded and innovative while reliable and solid. I share those values in my own businesses and I am excited to find a real estate company like that.
What did you do before getting into real estate?
I have always been doing interior, product and object design and design in general , Wholesale and a for the trade too. Also, I’ve been providing services to clients as well as developers when renovating condos and houses.
I’ve bought, renovated and sold old houses recycling their old style while bringing it up to life with the new elements that make them more comfortable
Also I own a gallery that displays the products that we create for the clients and interior design projects that we have..
What do you like to do outside of work?
When I am not working you can find me in my weekend home up in New Hampshire in the Sunappe region, doing sports, gardening or entertaining and cooking for guests there, always making French and Italian food that my guests always enjoy there.
What do you like most about Boston?
I love Boston for the variety of people that cohabitates it, for the European flavor it has, for the more than 63 universities that makes it smell like good knowledge and serious education, I love it for the quiet kindness of the new Englanders, and most of all for its history, strolling down the streets of beacon hill, or walking through the Boston public garden during spring time it is like being in heaven, expanding out the borders of the Boston quarters Massachusetts itself it’s quite a wonderful experience too, going from the first pilgrims to the Paul Revere stories, from the Mayflower to the most genius inventions at the MIT quarters.
