Does Matterport 3D Technology Matter in Boston Real Estate?

Matterport 3D Walkthroughs

For over two years, we have been using Matterport 3D virtual tours to showcase our listings as part of our comprehensive marketing plan. If you are unfamiliar, the technology allows users to experience an immersive view of a space that goes much further than a floor plan or traditional virtual tour. The special camera allows for a seamless walkthrough of a space to really paint the picture for perspective buyers.

(Take a look at one we just did for a stunning Millennium Tower home as an example!)

Why is it better than a virtual tour?

With the link to the tour, perspective buyers are able to really experience the home from top to bottom. As you can see, one can navigate through and “look around” to get perspective from the floor to ceiling. They can also get an idea of the size of a space and how their furniture, art, etc may work within it. Traditional virtual tours from the 90’s were more like a powerpoint presentation that did not offer this amount of detail or perspective.

How does it help sellers?

With the ever-competitive market that is Boston, we see more and more buyers starting their home searches online. Serious buyers know what they are seeking and don’t want to waste time looking at listings that are not a match. Presenting your home in the BEST manner possible online ensures that you get more potential buyers in the door – and more potential offers on the table. This technology also helps buyers who may not be able to see a property in person as they are not in Boston – giving them more confidence in writing an offer “sight-unseen.”

Our Entire Marketing Platform

Matterport 3D virtual tours are just one aspect of our comprehensive marketing plan that has been proved to sell homes faster and put more money in our seller’s pockets. Based on MLS statistics so far in 2016, our market time is significantly quicker than industry average and our sellers are receiving $22,000 more on the average Boston home sale!
